Dear Friend,
With some sadness but also with massive gratitude, we are informing that our Equine Assistedn Activities project will be ending in October 2023, due to lack of sustainable funding for it. Times are tough, and needs in the world are great, so we understand securing long-term funds for this program has been challenging.
We are, however, so grateful for our dear teachers - Paavo and Pete ponies, who since January have three times a week assisted disabled children and their family. They have not been ridden, but engagaed with children and their caretakers from the ground (being brushed, cuddled, walked together etc.). They have brought billions of giggles and so much joy for vulnerable children, and their little pony-bodies have received gazillion cuddles from these children. Due to our child protection policy, Romi's Way will not publish any photoes of our under-age friends, but I hope this verbally provided update will bring you joy.
We sincerely thank you for your kind donations, they have all allowed Paavo and Pete to receive the best nutrition, hoof care and veterinary care. Paavo and Pete will move into their new forever home into a beautiful farm close to their current location, and we know they are given 5* home. Our team can still visit them anytime, and give some much loved carrots.
Thank you for being part of this journey and supporting over 20 disabled children in 2023!
With gratitude,
Sari Bernardo - CEO, Romi's Way
