2nd Semester In Action!

By Jaime Hunter | Executive Director

Teamwork, collaboration, infusion of technology, English language learning, outdoor classes, lions, tigers, and more! There seems to never be enough hours in the day to satisfy our student's desire for learning. Soon we will be launching extra tutoring for any students who want to catch up or go beyond the curriculum. At Escuela Adelante we measure our success. Our 2nd semester is well underway and we are getting closer and closer to our dream of establishing the first and only bilingual high school in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua.

Currently, we offer preschool and primary school. For anyone who has been following us since our start in 2014, you know it has been an incredible journey from start to now but finished is far to go. We still have to finish the school campus and ensure that our students can continue with us. Next year we launch the high school. The value that means the most to us as we continue to march forward is accessibility. We want to be able to support equal access to education in Nicaragua. We want to ensure an accessible, bilingual education of excellence. We want to build this school and do it right.

We really appreciate our sponsors who provide scholarships to our neediest students. Without the support of sponsors, it would be very difficult for these students to study with us at Escuela Adelante as a private school. There are so many students that need help - more students than scholarships available. We know that it is a big sacrifice for sponsors to give month after month, give after year. It is more than a donation, it is an investment. We hope that you know that your altruism doesn't go unnoticed. You are appreciated, and you make a big difference. We see it every day in the classroom, and we take this opportunity to say thank you.

Let's continue to work together and move forward, maintaining our values, and helping as many families as we can along the way!
