PROJECT UPDATES.

By Dungrila Pascal Mbimenyuy. | I.A.A Director/Project Leader.

Lack of Vocational training services and entrepreneurship opportunities for young people has the devastating potential to create a severe economic impact. Young people have straggled with life since the COVID-19 outbreak and the ongoing civil war in the Anglophones regions of Cameroon and they need a hand that can support them. IAA is contributing to the improvement of young people's lives through Entrepreneurship and community based sustainable skills in Agriculture, technology, Poultry Production, Business management, Horticulture and STEM.

Integrated Agricultural Association (IAA) have trained over 250 young people on business management, soap and poultry production. IAA has set up a broiler to raise 5000, two weeks old chikcs to support the trained youths to start or improve their individual farm businesses. These beneficiaries needs material, equipment and financial support to create livelihood opportunities for themselves and the community. However, lack of funding is a challenge because the program is for the pro-poor and funding cannot be raised by the participants.

IAA need $100,000 to empower young people to create income generating businesses that enables them to fight poverty and unemployment. Consider making a donation now through GlobalGiving to help IAA reach this goal. As a generous IAA's supporter, we know you’re passionate about creating change by unleashing the power of giving and support to enable grassroots organizations, transform lives and buil climate resilience and economic development in their communities.

It is unacceptable for people to continue facing the challenges of food insecurity, water crisis, lack of quality education and opportunities, poor health, gender inequality, climate change and more, “change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time.” The communities we serve suffer from the biggest challenges of our time, working to foster communities rooted in shared values, where all people belong, participate, live well and thrive. That’s the kind of future we want and that’s the kind of innovation you support us to do. We are looking forward to 2024 with enthusiasm, hope and energy to achieve more than what we did in 2023.

Thank you for giving back to push change forward and improve the living conditions of the under-served communities in Cameroon, by being part of our supporter and donor community. Without your support, we would not be able to do this work.
