Entrepreneurship and Savings – Project Update
We are excited to share with you some of the most meaningful moments and accomplishments from this past quarter of the 2024–2025 school year. Thanks to your generous support, our “Entrepreneurship and Savings” program continues to grow and transform the lives of hundreds of children and youth across the country. Here’s a look at what we’ve achieved together:
Highlights from this quarter:
1. Second Round of School Visits
Our team conducted a second round of follow-up visits to the participating schools, offering in-person and virtual feedback to both teachers and students. The focus was on improving student-led ventures in middle and high school by strengthening their understanding of budgeting, the benefits of financial products and services, and the importance of circular economy practices. On average, students have completed 14 class hours, representing 70% progress in the program’s curriculum.
2. Aflatoun Day Celebration
In celebration of International Aflatoun Day, 78 middle and high school students from Chihuahua, Guanajuato, Jalisco, and Nuevo León joined an activity designed by Aflatoun International. They proudly shared their experiences developing socio-environmental ventures, inspiring each other with their creativity and passion.
3. Global Money Week – A Full Week of Financial Learning
From March 24–27, students participated in a variety of interactive workshops and reflections as part of Global Money Week. Activities included:
•A financial literacy trivia game with 589 secondary students
•Gender-focused discussions on the role of men and women in today’s economy with 540 students
•A reflection on the responsible use of money with 20 high school students
•A creativity workshop to identify and solve problems in innovative ways with 85 high school students
•A “vision board” workshop to help 668 students set short- and medium-term goals
4.Investment Workshop for Families
Because financial empowerment starts at home, we held a special investment workshop for parents and caregivers. 77 parents from middle and high schools in Mexico City, Morelos, and Nuevo León attended and learned how to begin investing with as little as $100 pesos.
5.Venture Evaluations
In May, we conducted entrepreneurship evaluations in all participating schools. These evaluations helped us select students—from preschool through high school—to participate in two of the most exciting events of the year: the 2025 Bootcamp and EDUCA Fair in Mexico City.
6.Bootcamp 2025 – Two Days of Inspiration
On June 5–6, we welcomed 100 student entrepreneurs from Morelos, Nuevo León, Estado de México, Guerrero, Chihuahua, Jalisco, and Hidalgo to Mexico City for a two-day intensive Bootcamp. The students participated in specialized workshops to strengthen their projects and had the opportunity to visit Bloomberg’s offices, where they received invaluable feedback from corporate volunteers on their pitches.
7.EDUCA Fair 2025 – A Celebration of Student Innovation
On June 7, more than 1,000 students gathered at Universidad Anáhuac to showcase their ventures at the EDUCA Fair. Beyond presenting, selling, and exchanging experiences with other students, participants enjoyed hands-on activities, won prizes, and attended specialized financial education workshops. It was a day full of energy, learning, and pride.
Each of these milestones was possible thanks to people like you—who believe in the power of education to change lives. Thank you for being part of this journey and for helping us build a brighter future for our students and their communities.
