With your support will be provided business training with the Emprende Workshop to 20 mayan women of Yucatan engaged in developing various crafts and office items with recycled materials. The training will be useful, to strengthen their value as a person and to recognize the skills and abilities as entrepreneurs who have to make the right products to market at a cost that will generate profits and especially to support sustainability environment.
The population of women in the state of Yucatan occupies 50.7% of the population, of which 22% are heads of households according to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI). Find a job with a living wage, it's an opportunity that can't easily access, due to the limited access of women to education. The project aims to provide business training for self-employment and to be generating their own revenues.
ProEmpleo Foundation will give women a corporate training where they will be instructed to learn, to manage and run a business in a sustainable and long-term. Also we will work on their self-esteem to empower them and increase their level of confidence, personal safety and give them the capabilities and abilities to generate their own income and keep their economy stable.
This project seeks to benefit women for receive training that enables them to create and lead productive businesses for impulse the development of their community and to achieve increased employment opportunities within the state. The self-employment allows women to raise their educational and socioeconomic level, have changes in gender relations, empowering future generations of women and prevent migration.
