You would be much excited to know that our children from the special schools for child labourers participated in competitive events with their peers in the month of November 2012. Drawing, embroidery, essay writing competitions were conducted. 7 of our children got prizes and were appreciated by the District Collector, Trichirappalli in a meeting held in the month of February 2013.
Thirumalai, one of our children who got first prize in drawing competition is from a family of ottars. His parents go out to places to earn their living by carving in the grinding stones in homes. He too have been accompanying them. When he was found by our counsellor, the boy was enrolled to the special school. Now he has developed his skills in drawing too. We are so happy for him!
We take this opportunity to appreciate our team of teachers, vocatinal teachers and counselors who works with these children, had been so kind enough and patient to motivate these children and had brought them up to this level. And all this is possible only with the noble support of people like you. Our heartfelt gratitude for being with us and supporting us continuosly.
