Dear Donors,
WISHING YOU A HAPPY, WONDERFUL NEW YEAR!
"I am 12 years old and was found in the streets of Thideer Nagar picking up the waste paper by our special school teacher. My father is a drunkard and my parents fight often and my mother goes to my grandma’s house at least once in three months. She took me with her not worrying about my studies. Hence I had to drop out from school and I became a rag picker" says Danushkumar, our special school student in Thideer Nagar.
The special school teacher of New Life on seeing this child, talked to his parents. The counsellor counselled the boy to attend the special school where the child labourers are rehabilitated. After repeated counselling the boy joined our special school.
When he joined he could not read or write properly. Now he can read and write. He is also performing well in drawing and games.
Deprived children like Danush can get their rights restored through your support. Kindly spread words about our work to your friends and relatives to help the children like Danush.
With regards
F. Beatrice Vanaja
