Ensure Education for 100 Child Laborers

"I want to become a teacher and help those children, especially girls who could not study due to their poverty like me", says Roja (name changed). She continues, "I would have lost my future rearing goats unless New Life had supported me. I thank New Life and all those donors out there who have helped me to continue my studies".

Roja's parents are working as daily wage earners and their yearly income is $600 (approximately). They have two sons and one daughter, Roja. Their poor income is insufficient to meet out the food expenses. How could they spend for the education of their children? Hence they decided to stop Roja's studies and sent her to rear goats.

The New Life team in Kodiyampalayam found out Roja and talked with her. They rekindled her interest in studies, convinced her parents to send Roja to the special school for child labour. Roja is good enough to join 5th standard in the regular school after one year of coaching in the special school. 

Roja scored good marks (70%) in 10th standard Government exam, applied for financial support from New Life. She was selected for support and is now doing her 12th standard. She is preparing well for the final year of school exams. We are sure she will score well and achieve her dream of becoming a teacher and helping many poor students like her.
