Dear Donors,
It was a great pleasure to see the ex child labourers climb up the ladder of education. The pleasure is multi-fold when it is a girl. During the Women's Day Celebration on 10.03.2018 12 girl children were given education support. And 3 more boys were supported. Thank you dear donors for making it happen again.
Shamili (name changed) is from a down trodden family. Her parents are working as coolies in a brick kiln. The family's monthly income is $100 approximately.Shamili was found rearing goats by the special school teacher and was admitted to the special school. She is much interested in her studies. After two years she was mainstreamed in the nearby regular school. Now she is in 10th standard. She scores 70% marks. When asked what is her aim in life, she says "I want to be a doctor". When asked shy she says, "I want to serve those people who cannot afford to pay for their treatment."
During this quarter $1480 was received for the children from you. $2000 was spent to support the children and to take the children on an exposure trip to Pondicherry. The children visited the museum, the farm fest, the beach, Auroville, Aurobindo ashram, etc. The children were very happy to see the beautiful arrangement of flowers and vegetables in the farm fest, the auroville and other places.
Thank you dear donors for supporting our children, helping them to climb up their ladder and expanding their horizons. We request you to get ready to celebrate the power of the crowd in the Little by Little Matching Campaign(April 9 - 13th)!
