Good Thinkers Organization (GTO) observed the International Day Against Child Labor in Pakistan with the participation of children from diverse backgrounds, including child laborers, differently abled children, adolescents, and students. The event provided a platform for them to share their hardships, experiences, and aspirations for a better future.
A lawyer from GTO briefed the participants about their constitutional and legal rights, encouraging them to seek assistance from GTO in case of any legal emergency. This session empowered children with knowledge and built their confidence to speak against injustice.
The event concluded with an awareness walk, where children carried messages against child labor to sensitize the community. The activity drew strong attention from the public and reinforced the urgent need to protect children from exploitation.
Despite existing laws, child labor continues to thrive in Pakistan, making these children one of the most marginalized groups in society. GTO reaffirmed its commitment to minimizing child labor through advocacy, awareness, and legal support.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our GlobalGiving donors, whose support makes such initiatives possible. With your continued contributions, GTO will expand legal aid, community outreach, and awareness programs—ensuring every child can live with dignity, protection, and access to education.
