Children are the most affected in low resource settings and during times of conflict and natural disasters. These circumstances make it difficult for children to receive the essential 40 vitamins and minerals that they need for healthy growth. Over 161 million children in the world have been stunted by nutritional deficiencies and may never grow to their full potential. Our products are science based but they are miraculous healers for the world's most vulnerable children.
Preventing child malnutrition is known to be one of the best investments we can make in lasting global health and development. Here at Edesia we produce ready-to-use therapeutic and supplementary foods to prevent and treat malnutrition during the most critical window of development often referenced as the first 1,000 days of life.
Children who do not receive the most basic nutrition during the critical period of growth in their first five years of life may suffer permanent delays. They may never reach their full potential, cognitively or physically, and are therefore less likely to be able to fully contribute to society.
