Dear friends,
Thank you for helping us make sure a student's period never has to mean missing school.
This quarter, Save a Life ran school-based Menstrual Health Management (MHM) awareness programmes for students. The sessions covered menstrual hygiene, broke common myths about menstruation, and helped students learn to manage their periods with confidence and dignity.
Why this matters. Products alone are not enough. Many girls in our communities grow up with silence, shame and myths around menstruation. When students understand their bodies and can ask questions in a safe space, they are more likely to stay in school and to speak up when they need support.
Partners. The sessions were held under our POWER Programme, supported by Diakonia.
What's next. We want to pair these sessions with a steady supply of sanitary products for students who cannot afford them. This is where GlobalGiving donations make the biggest difference: they buy pads for students who would otherwise go without.
With gratitude,
The Save a Life team
