We develop leadership through tailored programmes like Introduction to Leadership, invest in education funding with innovative Income Sharing Agreements (ISA), and sustain growth through our Global Mentorship Programme.
Across South & Southeast Asia, over a billion women face systemic barriers that limit their ability to lead. According to the World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap Report 2024, it will take 134 years to close the gender leadership gap-unless we act now. Women are held back by limited access to education financing & leadership networks, heavy unpaid care expectations, societal norms that restrict their ability to dream freely, the disproportionate impacts of climate and economic insecurity.
Wedu enables women to rise as leaders by providing mentorship, leadership development, and flexible education financing. Through our 3C Model-Capability, Capital, Community-we build skills, unlock access to capital, and strengthen peer networks rooted in solidarity and care. Each woman joins an intergenerational community that multiplies leadership impact across climate resilience, care systems, and economic empowerment.
Over the long term, this project will enable 1,000 women across South and Southeast Asia to gain the skills, confidence, capital, and community needed to lead in climate resilience, care systems, and economic empowerment. By supporting Wedu's 2025-2027 strategy, the funding from Giving Tuesday helps women uplift their families, strengthen local economies, and shape more equitable institutions-creating intergenerational impact that transforms entire communities.
