Summary

Imagine courageous women working tirelessly under the burning sun, breaking stones in unsafe and exhausting conditions. This project seeks to support them over a 2-year period to empower them and change their reality. By providing modern tools, technical training, and psychosocial competencies, we empower them to improve their productivity, safety, and quality of life. Together, we will build a brighter future for 50 women stone crushers and their families.

Challenge

In the communes of Dassa and Glazoue, nearly 5,000 women work in inhumane conditions, crushing stones daily. They face health risks without protection, lack institutional support, and have no access to financial resources for growth. These women, the pillars of their families, also endure gender discrimination that hinders their autonomy and well-being.

Solution

We will give these women better tools to make their work easier and safer. They'll receive training to improve productivity and manage their work better. Additionally, workshops will strengthen their psychosocial resilience. These efforts will create safer work environments, boost their incomes, and empower them as leaders in their communities.

Long-Term Impact

This project will make a lasting difference to the lives of 50 women. They will have the tools and skills to build stable, sustainable businesses. Their resilience in the face of violence will be strengthened, and their transformational leadership will inspire the whole community. It's much more than a project: it's a step toward independence, dignity, and a better future for these women and their families.
