Inviting a New Cohort of Future Leaders to Apply!

We wanted to share some exciting news with you!

On May 1st, we launched applications for our second cohort of the Girls Galaxy Journey for girls 16-21 years old from all over the world to gain critical leadership skills and understand themselves, discover a community they feel like they truly belong to, and learn how we can serve the world together. If you know a girl who might be interested, please encourage her to apply!

Through an intensive three-month program, Galaxy Girls acquire and expand professional skills, including public speaking and social entrepreneurship; support and get involved in their community; learn to believe their opinions and thoughts matter; experience a greater sense of belonging in the world; are confident in their ability to follow their dreams and wishes; and develop their voice and the courage to share it with the world.

This year, our program will run from August - October. We believe talent is equally distributed but that opportunity is not. So we are committed to making this opportunity accessible to as many girls as possible - and your donations and investment in our work makes this possible. The cost of this 3 months program + access to the She is the Universe Galaxy community is $550 US dollars per person. However, every girl who is accepted into the program is eligible for a full scholarship. Every donation you make goes directly towards a scholarship for a girl to attend this summer program.

She is the Universe: Our 2023

Happy New Year!

As we create new intentions and dreams for this year, let me share one of ours with you: for more teenage girls to step into their power and feel deeply supported in doing so.

You are and will always be a part of this dream of ours. At She is the Universe, it is not only our dream, but also our conviction to empower teenage girls from all over the world through storytelling, mentorship, leadership development and a global community.

Although the world has felt dark at times, we are finding light in how we have created community and opportunities for girls from around the world. In 2023, we hosted 80+ events, impacting more than 15,000 girls from 50+ countries through our programming and social media. We continued our monthly Girls Circles and created even more social media educational content, featuring interviews with inspiring teen girls and advice from global leaders - including New Zealand’s previous Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern!

Perhaps our most exciting celebration is launching our 5-month flagship leadership development “Camp” called The Galaxy Journey. This program provided a full-scholarship to 75 girls (from 25 different countries!) to develop their self-confidence, connect with one another, learn public speaking, explore mentorship, and discover their purpose in the world. Girls shared inspiring talks through the Girls2Girls: Global Voices showcase (that you can watch here) and began their mentorship journeys through A Woman’s Place (which is also a podcast!) Most importantly, we made even more girls feel more seen, heard, and valued, strengthening a community that they can learn and grow from.

We have big plans for 2024 and with your help we hope to empower more girls to be the change they want to create in the world. Thank you for continuing to walk alongside us - your support means the world to us.

There are still a few days left to get any donations to She is the Universe matched. Your tax-deductible donation will be matched dollar to dollar up to $20,000 before midnight on January 15th and will support us in empowering more teenage girls through storytelling, mentorship, and continued leadership development.
