Hi friend,
Exactly one month ago, we welecomed teenage girls from all over the world to join us in our virtual leadership development program: The Girls Galaxy Journey. 2024’s brilliant, exceptional, curious and diverse cohort comes from 22 countries all over the world. Girls accepted into our program represent Argentina, Armenia, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Ghana, Guatemala, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Paraguay, Peru, Rwanda, United Kingdom, United States, Venezuela, and Zimbabwe. We are so grateful to grow our global community of dreamers and changemakers.
Our Galaxy Journey kicked off in August with a 2-weekend welcome camp where we shared stories and our dreams about the future. We laughed, we cried, we supported each other. Together, we made magic!
Currently, we are in the second stage of our journey: Girls2Girls. Our Girls2Girls (G2G) Program is part of our 3-month long journey where girls learn how to build their confidence and teamwork skills through public speaking. Every Saturday girls come together for two hours to talk about the power of their voice and how they want to share it with the world.
On September 28th we will have our Girls2Girls Global Spotlight event, where girls in our program will be sharing their voice, their stories, and the impact they want to make in the world. Stay tuned for a Save the Date. We are thrilled to invite you and are looking forward to seeing you at this event. This event is always one of my favorites - it is an opportunity to listen to the passions and dreams of girls around the globe and feel a part of something bigger than ourselves. It is a dream come true watching so many girls from so many backgrounds, passions, and curiosities step into the power of their dreams.
You are and will always be a part of this dream of ours. At She is the Universe, it is not only our dream, but also our conviction to empower teenage girls from all over the world through storytelling, mentorship, leadership development and a global community.
