Kalobeyei Art Learning Center (KALC) is excited to share its very first quarterly progress report since joining GlobalGiving on 14 December 2025.
In the last four months (14 Dec 2025 – 31 Mar 2026), something beautiful has been happening in Kalobeyei Integrated Settlement. Even before the Little by Little Campaign began, kind donors had already given us USD 102. Then, during the March campaign, our supporters came together and raised another USD 1,231 in direct donations, plus USD 598 in matching funds.
Total raised so far: USD 1,931 (with a strong #116 ranking on the leaderboard).
These funds are not just numbers — they are already at work. Every week, refugee and host-community youth, women, and vulnerable children are:
Gathering for psychosocial support sessions, finding safety and healing after difficult journeys.
Learning to play musical instruments in lively workshops, smiling, laughing, and discovering new talents.
Joining mental health training that gives them tools for resilience and hope.
The photos below show exactly what your donations are making possible. The money we have received is buying art materials, musical instruments, facilitator stipends, physiotherapy supplies for children, and community peacebuilding events. Even though we have not yet reached our full goal of USD 7,500, the funds already raised are sustaining and expanding these life-changing programs right now.
We faced real challenges — limited donor networks, economic hardship in our community, and digital barriers — but the Little by Little Campaign taught us so much. Early outreach, personal messages, and your matching funds created real momentum.
To every donor who gave during this first quarter: asante sana. Your support is not just helping us run programs — it is giving young people in Kalobeyei hope, skills, and a sense of belonging. Because of you, a young refugee boy is learning the guitar, a girl is finding her voice in group therapy, and children with disabilities are receiving physiotherapy.
We are a small refugee-led organization, but with your continued partnership we will grow stronger. The next quarterly report will show even more young lives transformed through arts, skills, and healing.
Thank you for believing in us. Together, little by little, we are building a brighter future in Kalobeyei.
