In Kalobeyei Settlement, refugee and host youth lack safe spaces to learn, express themselves, and build skills. Kalobeyei Art Learning Center empowers them through creative arts, music, sports, education, and psychosocial support, helping youth build confidence, resilience, and life skills. This project will build two classrooms and an office and provide essential learning, creative, and sports materials-giving over 300 youth a safe, supportive place to learn and thrive.
Youth in Kalobeyei Settlement face limited access to safe learning spaces, creative outlets, and recreational opportunities. Many young people experience stress, trauma, and idleness due to displacement, poverty, and lack of structured programs. Without positive spaces and guidance, youth are at greater risk of dropping out of school, engaging in harmful behaviors, and losing hope for their future.
Kalobeyei Art Learning Center will build two classrooms and one office, provide creative arts, music, and sports equipment, and run regular arts, music, sports, and basic education sessions. These activities will create a safe and supportive environment where youth can develop talents, life skills, and wellbeing.
Youth will gain skills in arts, music, and sports that can lead to future educational and livelihood opportunities.
