So far so good. The journey has been tough but worth it. Receiving encouraging messages from PWDs who have benefited from this project, and seeing some of the projects taking shape is quite encouraging!

When we started our first campaign with GlobalGiving, The goals seemed so big to achieve but we kept our faith high. One step at a time through the efforts of our great team and the great love of our Donors, what was seemingly a mountain has been reduced to a meagre hill, if not an anthill and we can now without a shadow of doubt say that, if we maintain the spirit, our dream will be achievable, .

Despite depleting the previous donor funding received, we have been able to sustain internal projects as an organisation that has ensured smooth running of our activities~of course there has been a few challenges here and there but all in all, we have managed to manouver and remain focused as we push on towards our main goal.

As an organisation, our main agenda as we stand is equiping the ongoing therapy institution project so that it can offer the inteded services to PWDs. We are having a deficit of $29,900 that will see to the completion and equiping the institution with the required equipment.

Post COVID effect has been quite severe. Taking care of PWDs who had acute symptoms of Covid and was a bit challenging given the limited resourses we had at that moment. Its a truth no one was fully prepared for C0VID 19. The wave caught us by surprise and sadly we lost some PWDs who had been hospitalized. It was a painful experince and we will continue supporting their families as some of the affected were the bread winners.

We remain grateful to all our donors who have been a key pillar in bettering the Lives of many families that live with severe disabilities. Every day, our wish and prayer is to see the lives of People living with disability getting better and becoming self reliant.

We say a big Thankyou to GlobalGiving for this platform that has helped better the lives of many in various communities here and in the world at large.

2021 ACHIEVMENTS AMID COVID 19

The year 2021 wasn’t a very good year to every organization and majorly those of us who are dependent to donations. As an organization we never met our target of $49,154 as it was intended from GlobalGiving, even though we are so proud to have joined GlobalGiving because from it we managed to start our dream project of having a physiotherapy center.

We have been having a number of people leaving with disabilities travel miles to go look for therapy help, with us putting one center in Kiambu county this is a game changer in the quest of mainstreaming matters PWDs, we wish to appeal to our donors that we never made it to our target and would really wish to finish this noble project.

As an organization so far, we have managed to spend $12,000 on the structure and we are now determined in equipping it. our request is to raise the remain $31,661 to be able to have this facility to PWDs, the facility will be offering phycological therapy and physiotherapy for free to all persons living with disabilities.

In 2021 we did manage to start few income generating activities for these PWDs do that they can be independent and be able to getting their families daily meals, we managed to put up over 300 business for them and our wish to at least get to 900 people, all these said isn’t easy without funding or liquidation tied to them and our appeal ageing to our donors is to help us get to our set target for it is our happiness when nobody is groping to bed hunger despite the epidemic, we wish to stabiles these people3 and make them have hope even after losing the same due to disability. A number of these PWDs have families and we mand it our mandate the entire 2021 to provide school fee to their children we did manage to pay school fees worth $10,000 for PWD children and children also living with any form of disabilities.

It isn’t a very easy tusk but we are kindly requesting more kind hands to help us get to our target, our mantra is to not leave any person despite their conditions behind, we want to make every single one feel like they have a reason live for by make sure we have all the facilities that will support their needs and also making sure they have food and their children attend school.

Help us raise the remaining $31,661 to achieve this.
