Al Mehran Research and Development Foundation (AMRDF) is providing free and quality education to children belonging to poor families where 80 girls students are getting free and quality education but due to long distance to the schools, most of the them have to walk miles to reach school which cause long absenteeism and dropout which ultimately result in early marriages. Your donation to the empowering pedals will help provide cycles to the girls for redressing this issue.
There is a problem of long absenteeism and dropout of girls students in the area of Mian, District Sanghar where most girls belongs to the families who are poor. These girls have talent and are eager to continue to their education as like their brothers' do. Long distance to school, high cost of transportation tend to make the female students stay at home or they only attend two days in a week. This factor pushes them to lag behind and become victim of early marriages.
This project will provide cycles to each student numbering 80. In addition to this incentive, they will receive school bag, uniform, shoes and snacks. This incentive will decrease the problem of long absenteeism in the girls students and also motivate them to come to school on everyday bases. In addition, the community will be sensitized on the girls education where they will be brought on to the understanding that the quality and free education is also the basic right of every girl.
The project will contribute educating 80 girls in the first phase which will become example for other girls of the area. The area is down trodden which has a very low literacy rate. The project will bring more 150 girls on board and strive to enroll more out of school children. The project beneficiaries would be supported to the enrollment in next higher classes upto the level of colleges. These girls will have the opportunity to stay strong, reduce poverty and improve wellbeing.
