The project aim is to give training to 200 parents and youth with disabilities in Kenya with technical skills e.g weaving, tailoring, dressmaking, carpentry, shoes making. And make them self reliance
The poverty level in the disabled community is alarming, About 25% of disabled parents and youths lack proper education, and so they end up becoming beggars. The project targets at making such youths and parents self employed, reliant and independent in their social-economic needs and thus eradicate poverty from their community.
(i) The project will initiate Technical Skills Centers to facilitate courses e.g Weaving, Dressmaking/Tailoring,Carpentry etc (ii) Link the Technical Skills Graduates to productive ventures to facilitate self reliance & employment.
ROD Foundation defines impact as the outcome of project effects.Here impact defines the ultimate change in the living conditions of beneficiaries resulting wholly from the project activities.Fight poverty, 200 parents and youths are to benefit.
