Empower and Educate Needy Children in Uganda

Education for Hope: Empowering Uganda's Vulnerable Children In Uganda’s rural areas and streets, countless vulnerable children are facing immense obstacles in pursuing education. The lack of scholastic materials such as books, pens, pencils, soap, fees, and sanitary pads is hindering their educational journey. Many have been forced to drop out of school due to financial constraints, pushing them into exploitative child labor or early marriages as young as 13 years old. Amidst these challenges, PLATFORM for the NEEDY (PLANE) has continued to be a beacon of hope for Uganda's vulnerable children. Through strategic partnerships with GlobalGiving and compassionate individuals, PLANE is working tirelessly to ensure these children have access to education and their basic needs. Impactful Initiatives During this quarter, PLANE has continued its mission to uplift the lives of disadvantaged children. Despite facing a decrease in donations, PLANE managed to provide essential educational materials like books, pens, pencils, and fees to 45 children. While the number of beneficiaries has reduced from 80, the organization's commitment to supporting these children remains unwavering. Heartfelt Appreciation PLANE extends heartfelt gratitude to its supporters, especially highlighting the unwavering support of Madam Jasmin Noll our coach and mentor and her family. Additionally, our acknowledgments are extended to Madam Alice McGonnell, Mr. Michiko Hirota, Rangatoto College administration, students, and numerous anonymous donors and interns whose contributions have brought smiles to these children's faces. Overcoming Challenges Despite the impactful work, PLANE faces the ongoing challenge of funding sustainability. The organization mourns the loss of a significant donor, Madam Anna Boeteang Varanya, whose support was instrumental for the last four years sponsoring all the children but ceased due to unforeseen circumstances. She lost her job after Trump stopped funding to come to Africa. This financial setback has not only affected the organization but also the lives of the needy children in Uganda. Urgent Appeal for Support PLANE makes a heartfelt appeal to generous donors and friends to continue offering a helping hand. The organization urges supporters to help forge connections and improve visibility to ensure the sustainability of community education projects. By sharing PLANE's causes and linking the organization with potential supporters, each individual can play a vital role in transforming the lives of these deserving children.
