The training program aimed at enhancing the skills of guides, assistant guides and tour operators to meet the expectations of Western tourists. Conducted over three days from January 5 to January 7, 2024, the training focused on interactive learning and peer sharing to blend theoretical knowledge with practical application. Fourteen participants, comprising guides, assistant guides and tour operators, enrolled in the program. They engaged in sessions facilitated by trainer Ben Gosman.
The objective was to equip participants with the necessary skills to deliver exceptional experiences tailored to Western tourists’ expectations.The training was provided to improve the tour operators, guides and assistant guides abilities in ensuring satisfaction of guests. Emphasis was placed on interactive learning and storytelling. Participants appreciated the interactive nature of the training, highlighting the value of peer-sharing and collaborative learning. They expressed excitement about implementing new storytelling techniques and recognized the importance of a guest-centric approach in meeting expectations and creating memorable experiences. The completion of the training program marks a significant innovation in the professional development of guides and tour operators catering to western tourism.
