Superatec in partnership with the ProPetare Foundation designed and implemented a Women's Empowerment and Community Leadership Program for 33 women in Petare, one of the largest neighborhoods in Latin America. These women prepare food in community kitchens where children in situations of social vulnerability and malnutrition are given lunch daily.
These women are people with little education, but they want to improve themselves and create new enterprises to be able to sustain their homes. In the course of 3 months, they received various trainings in different areas such as: Life Project, Teamwork, Effective Communication, Conflict Management and Negotiation, Notions of Economy, Planning and Budget, Basic Computing (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
The experience was very successful and the participants presented 13 community projects at a fair, where they were evaluated by judges and the winners were financed to carry them out.
One of the projects led by Yorlet is the production of school uniforms for the children of the Campo Rico community. They are already starting the registration of the company and will soon begin their venture.
