Empowering 20 People with Disabilities in Chihuahua: A Journey of Growth and Connection
In Chihuahua, the Centro de desarrollo emprendedor uHub AC has helped embarked on a transformative journey, aiming to empower individuals with disabilities by unlocking their potential through entrepreneurship and community engagement. This story isn't just about the milestones we've achieved but the lives we've touched and the vibrant community we're building together.
A Series of Engagements: Workshops and Support Reunions
Our project kicked off with a series of nine meticulously designed workshops. These sessions weren't just lessons; they were the starting blocks for our participants to dream bigger. Covering a range of essential skills from business basics to advanced entrepreneurial strategies, each workshop was a step forward for our attendees, providing them not only with knowledge but with a newfound confidence in their abilities.
Parallel to these workshops, we've hosted four support reunions, or networking events, creating a nurturing environment for our participants. These gatherings have been pivotal, offering a space for individuals to share experiences, challenges, and victories. It's in these moments of connection that true empowerment takes place, with participants drawing strength from each other's journeys.
Mentorship
Mentorship has been the cornerstone of our program, with experienced entrepreneurs coming forward to guide our participants. This one-on-one mentorship has not only offered personalized advice and insights but has also fostered meaningful relationships, helping our participants to navigate the complexities of starting and running a business with a disability.
Bridging Gaps: Linking with Social and Entrepreneurial Actors
Our efforts to integrate our participants into the broader entrepreneurial ecosystem have been met with enthusiasm and support. By linking them with social and entrepreneurship actors, we've opened doors to new opportunities, resources, and collaborations. This aspect of our project has been crucial in demonstrating the value of inclusivity in the business world, showcasing the untapped potential within our community.
Achievements: Participating in "entreprenuership calls"
A testament to the effectiveness of our program, five of our participants have successfully registered for social entrepreneurship called "Emprende por un cambio social". This achievement is not just a milestone for the individuals involved but a validation of our belief in the capabilities of people with disabilities.
Looking Forward: A Call to Action
As we reflect so far, our participants' achievements are getting results and having a entreprenuerial development and this is possible when institutions and individuals are given the right support and opportunities. However, our story is far from over. There are more workshops to conduct, more connections to make, and more dreams to realize.
We invite our donors and supporters to continue being a part of this transformative journey. we thank your generosity and belief in our mission have been instrumental in our successes. Together, we can keep the momentum going, empowering more individuals with disabilities in Chihuahua and beyond.
In the spirit of community and shared success, we thank you for your ongoing support. Let's continue to make a difference, one life at a time.
"Empowering 20 People with Disabilities in Chihuahua" is more than a project; it's a movement. Join us in making history.
