Project Report | Mar 13, 2026
Jobortunity Quarterly Report March 2026

By Joice Kedimon Msoloka | Marketing and Training Coordinator

Throughout 2025, Jobortunity continued to unlock the potential of youth from vulnerable and
challenging backgrounds, equipping them with the skills, confidence, and professionalism needed to
thrive in the world of work. Through the Hi5 – 21st Century Skills Training, young people were
empowered to grow, discover their strengths, and take meaningful steps toward employment and
brighter futures.

This report highlights key milestones and impact realized throughout the year. It reflects the
collective effort of our students, trainers, partners, and supporters who share a common vision:
creating opportunities for young people to build dignified and independent lives!

Hi5 Lessons - 1st October 2025 – 17th December 2025
The delivery of Hi5 lessons remained central to Jobortunity’s approach. Students engaged
deeply with the core competencies, building confidence, communication skills,
professionalism, and problem-solving abilities. These lessons continue to be a transformative
part of the Jobortunity experience, equipping youth with skills essential for personal and
professional success

Ongoing Outreach Trainings - 1st October 2025 – 26th November 2025
Outreach Training continues to expand Jobortunity’s impact, especially through our ongoing
partnerships with Rijk Zwaan and Dekker. These trainings provide employees in the
agricultural sector with practical Hi5-based skills, strengthening communication, teamwork,
and professionalism. By bringing Jobortunity’s methodology directly to partners, we continue
to broaden our reach and support skill development beyond the classroom.

Apprenticeship Program - 17th November 2025
Our partner companies - including Rijk Zwaan, Schwari Restaurant, Dekker, Fides, Okka
House, Mount Kilimanjaro Safari Club, Rhotia Valley Tented Lodge, Gran Melia, River Trees,
Ngaresero Mountain Lodge, among others - have generously offered placement
opportunities. With these partnerships in place, the program successfully kickstarted, and
students are now actively engaging in hands-on learning within their respective host
organizations

A visit to Arusha National Park - 17th October 2025
Class 2025B visited ArushaNationalPark, located just outside Arusha city, where they
explored a striking variety of habitats - from verdant montane forests on the slopes of
MountMeru to the grassy plains of the NgurdotoCrater and the unique alkaline waters of
the MomellaLakes. During the visit, students observed wildlife such as giraffes, zebras and
colobus monkeys, and linked these real-world observations to their classroom studies of
ecosystems, biodiversity and conservation. This experience deepened their understanding of
how plants and animals adapt to different environments and how human-environment
interactions shape natural places. It also fostered teamwork, curiosity and personal growth, as
students stepped out of the classroom and reflected on their role in preserving nature.

Rotary Visit - 20th November 2025
In2025, Rotary Club of Arusha Westside continued to be a meaningful and supportive
partner to Jobortunity. Their contribution of 33 brand-new wooden student chairs
significantly improved the learning environment for our trainees, enhancing comfort and
creating a more professional classroom setting. This generous support reflects Rotary’s
ongoing commitment to empowering youth and strengthening our educational spaces.

Inherit Your Rights Certification (2025B) - 28th November 2025
The graduation under the Inherit Your Rights curriculum was successfully held. The cohort
has already graduated, receiving certificates and formal recognition for their learning about
legal rights, responsibilities, and empowerment. The graduation event marked the formal
close of this programme cycle for Class 2025B students.

Selection for Class 2026A

Round 1 – 24th Nov 2025

Round 2 – 28th Nov 2025

Round 3 – 1st Dec 2025

Jobortunity successfully conducted the selection process for Class 2026A. The process
attracted a diverse group of motivated youth, demonstrating the high demand for life skills
and employability training. After a thorough assessment, a new cohort of Class 2026A was
chosen, ready to embark on their Jobortunity journey and develop skills that will shape their
futures.

Revision of Jobortunity Strategic Goals - 5th December 2025
Jobortunity also held a comprehensive Strategic Meeting to review, evaluate, and refine its
organizational goals. This session allowed the team to assess progress, identify emerging
opportunities and challenges, and reposition priorities to better meet the changing needs of
youth and employers. The revised strategic direction will guide program development and
strengthen our long-term impact
