Overview:
We provide music skills training, digital literacy and entrepreneurship to youth in Ghana.
Progress Update:
Following our March-June training of 50 youth, this quarter we organized a practical performance showcase where our beneficiaries led live music ministry and stage performance.
- 50 youth completed vocal and instrument training and performed on stage
- 10 young musicians paired with mentors for 3 months of guidance
- Training expanded to include stage confidence, sound management, and content creation
- Audience of 200+ community members attended the showcase
Impact Story:
_"The training has changed my life. I'm now confident and have started my own music compositions."_ — Kwame, 19, beneficiary. Kwame was one of the lead vocalists in this event.
The images attached show our youth leading the stage, building confidence and real-world performance skills.
Challenges:
Transport costs to remote areas and high data prices for online lessons remain.
Lessons:
Community events and partnerships with local businesses increase visibility and job opportunities for our graduates.
Future Plans:
- Scale to 2000 youth via mobile training unit
- Add music entrepreneurship and apprenticeships with Accra/Kumasi SMEs
