VCLC 2018
Time: 31 July - 5 Aug
Location: Binh Thuan Province was strategically chosen, as this province hosts the country’s largest coal-fired power plants complex Vinh Tan, and at the same time it’s where many wind farms are harnessing wind energy from the windy coastline
Objectives: to empower Vietnamese youth with a skillset for climate campaigns
Participants: The camp successfully recruited 30 participants (10 males and 20 females) from 19 provinces, including college students, freelancers, young activists, and junior lectures
Skillset:The participants learnt campaigning skills, such as 1) Analysis on climate risks 2) knowledge about renewable energy 3) theory of change 4) power mapping analysis 5) tactics for online communication 6) leadership and team building skills
With your support, VCLC 2018 has been successfully implemented and 30 students have been engaged and empowered to make Vietnam a greener place. CHANGE Vietnam sincerely thank you for your kind support to enable change among the young generation.
