In the underserved community of Badaber, Peshawar, Dosti has initiated a project to combat poverty and empower women through education and skills development. At the heart of this initiative is Swing and Skills Development Center, where over 400 young girls receive basic education alongside vocational training. Widows who have lost their loved ones to tragic events and are rebuilding their lives. Mothers of the girls enrolled at the center, who are learning skills to support their families.
Women and girls in Badaber face extreme poverty, lack of education, and limited opportunities to earn a living. The center is struggling to meet the growing demand due to insufficient resources, outdated facilities, and inadequate trainer wages.
By upgrading the center, providing training materials, and supporting trainer wages, this project will empower women with education and vocational skills like sewing and jewelry-making, enabling them to earn and support their families.
The project will break the cycle of poverty, empower women to achieve financial independence, uplift their families, and create a scalable model for economic and social transformation in underprivileged communities.
