This project seeks to deliver quality education and essential supplies to over 83,000 refugee and underprivileged children in Uganda annually. In the Isingiro,Rakai,Kyotera region, where over 60% of children are out of school due to abject poverty and conflicts among the neighboring countries, the need is particularly acute. Nationally, 1 in 6 children are out of school due to conflicts and poverty. By addressing critical issues such as lack of school materials and nutritional meals at schools.
Uganda is home to over 1.5 million refugees, with more than 83,000 refugee and underprivileged children facing overwhelming barriers to education. In Isingiro,Rakai and Kyotera region, over 60% of children are out of school due to lack of resources and inadequate infrastructure. Most of these children lack basic school supplies like notebooks and pencils, attend overcrowded classrooms, and are taught by under trained teachers.
To address these critical educational challenges, this project will implement a comprehensive, multi-faceted approach over the next two years, ensuring sustainable and impactful outcomes for over 83,000 refugee and underprivileged children in Uganda. Our solution focuses on three primary areas: Provision of Essential School Supplies,Creation and Maintenance of Safe and Conducive Learning Spaces and We will train 500 teachers in modern educational techniques and trauma-informed care.
This project will create a lasting impact by giving refugee and underprivileged children in Uganda the opportunity to break the cycle of poverty through education. By improving literacy, fostering critical thinking, and enhancing job prospects, we will empower these children to become self-reliant individuals who contribute to the economic growth and stability of their communities.
