Challenge

Across Nigeria, thousands of young people and women face unemployment, digital exclusion, and economic vulnerability. Many talented youths in low-income communities lack access to marketable skills, mentorship, or employment pathways. In rural areas like mararaba in Nasarawa State and Okigwe of Imo State, poverty and insecurity have pushed families further into dependence, leaving young people without the tools to earn a living or contribute meaningfully to society.

Solution

Empower Future Initiative (EFI) is launching the Empower to Thrive: Give Skills, Build Futures campaign to provide practical digital and vocational training to 2025 underserved youths and women across Nigeria. Through this project, EFI will: Deliver hands-on training in digital literacy, graphic design, web development, and entrepreneurship. Provide mentorship and career guidance to help beneficiaries transition from learning to earning. Equip trainees with starter kits and access to remote

Long-Term Impact

By empowering young people and women with employable skills, this project will break the intergenerational cycle of poverty and dependence. Beneficiaries will not only earn sustainable incomes but also become role models and mentors in their communities. The Empower to Thrive initiative builds resilience, promotes gender equality, and aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 1, SDG 4, SDG, SDG 8, SDG 10. EFI envisions a future where every young person has an employable skill.
