Happy New Year! It has been a busy time for all of us at Epic Arts. As we get further into 2024, we want to share some of our highlights this year so far.
Our Special Education Program continues to grow and flourish with an incredible 35 students currently enrolled.
Based in Kampot, we run three special education classes: Growing Class, Peace Class and Independence Class.
Students, aged between 3 to 30 years, enjoy free creative education allowing them to develop essential life skills.
Above is our Independent Class, who learn life and independent skills such as gardening, cooking, arts, dance and handicrafts.
This enables them to contribute to their families, assisting them in becoming fully included members of society.
We are so proud of every student in our Special Education Program and are happy to watch them continuously grow in developing new skills and experiences at Epic Arts.
Cambodia is making remarkable progress towards disability inclusion in schools.
Last month we were delighted to host a meeting with local authorities and school directors at Epic Arts promoting awareness of disability inclusion and rights.
The day concluded with our incredibly talented dancers, Cambodia’s only inclusive dance company, putting on a fantastic live performance.
This is a major step forward for Epic Arts promoting disability and social inclusion in schools and we will continue to promote awareness of disability inclusion and rights at local, national and international levels where we can.
