Epic Arts in Kampot, Cambodia supports people with disabilities and their families. Our mission is to create a more inclusive society, we do this through education, employment, social support and awareness raising. Every year we raise awareness of disability issues to the general public through arts and creative media, we teach children with disabilities in our special education classes, we support their families and we provide jobs and training opportunities for people with disabilities.
Having a disability in Cambodia means you're likely to be hidden away, isolated from society and will face daily discrimination. The stigma associated with disability means that children and people with disabilities are one of the most vulnerable groups in Cambodia, as a result many have limited opportunities to their basic rights. Simple things like attending school, getting a job or leading a fulfilled life are challenging for people with disabilities.
We're working towards a more inclusive society, where everyone is accepted valued and respected no matter their ability by raising awareness of disability issues in Cambodia. Epic Arts registered in the UK in 2001 works with children & people with disabilities using the arts as a tool for expression. The arts can be transformational on both an individual and societal level. Through our programmes we provide free education, social support as well as training & employment opportunities for people.
When you choose to support Epic Arts you are helping to transform the lives of people with disabilities. You are supporting them to see their own ability and to dream of and achieve a brighter future.
