Construction of Toilets in eight villages of Nuwakot
After the successful completion of the Earthquake Rehabilitation Program by SASANE. We started the construction of toiltes in eight rural mountain villages of Nuwakot. Nuwakot is considered to be one of the rural village of Nepal where people do not have toilets. To raise awareness among the villagers about the importance of sanitation/cleanliness, SASANE with the help of the international donors and the Government of Nepal recently completed construction of eight toilets in eight villages of Nuwakot respectively.
After the construction of toilets, the villagers are seen more conscious about cleanliness issues and are found to be more aware about using toilets. The SASANE sisters who have been placed in these eight villages regularly monitor and make sure that the toilets have been used by the villagers and are also responsible to teach about hand wash and the importance of sanitation and cleanliness in their village.

Survivors in Paralegal Examination
Samrakshak Samuha Nepal (SASANE) has already completed the paralegal training 2016 in both Kathmandu and Pokhara. The paralegal interns in Kathmandu are still in their practical internship in 25 police stations in Kathmandu as the examination date is still not fixed. But in Pokhara, the paralegal interns have already appeared their paralegal examination. Among 26 girls 23 have successfuly passed the examination. Some of the passed girls are planning to work in the police station itself and some are planning to work in their hometown.
In this way till date SASANE has been able to produce 275 successful paralegals since the starting of the program. While this Kathmandu, because of the sudden transfer of the judge in the DIstrict Court, the routine of the examination is still not out because of which the girls are still in their internship. We call the girls every one month in the office to hear about their achievements and challenges and also collect reports of the number of application they have written.
We hope to receive your help and support to empower the girls and to help other girls in need by providing them with legal awareness and education to make them independent and confident in themselves.

Advanced Paralegal Training Program
Samrakshak Samuha Nepal (SASANE) has now started the 'Advanced Paralegal Training Program' from 8th March 2016. This training is for a month. The already passed and certified paralegal girls are qualified for the training. In the advanced paralegal training, the girls are taught about the court procedures and the case filing process in the court only. The victims are provided with the help and assistance related to court and are provided with the legal aid.
The girls will even proceed with the practical based knowledge in the court itself. The main motive of this program is to empower girls with the knowledge of the court procedures as well. The victims will also be helped both in the police stations and the court as well.
