Summary

GIVINGTUESDAY CAMPAIGN PROJECT: I'm thrilled to share this initiative close to my heart- The Menstrual Stress-Free in Nigeria School (MSF-NS) Project is becoming an issue. This project is dedicated to providing women and girls in underserved communities with access to essential sanitary pads and related resources, especially monthly. Menstruation is an important aspect of every girl's life, but it is an often overlooked critical issue, particularly for teen girls in marginalized communities.

Challenge

Menstruation is an important aspect of every girl's life, but it is an often overlooked critical issue, particularly for teen girls in marginalized communities. There are so many barriers to proper menstrual hygiene management (MHM) such as inadequate water and sanitation facilities, limited menstrual health education and poor access to affordable menstrual products can have significant consequences for girls' education, health, and well-being.

Solution

Proper menstrual hygiene is integral to achieving several United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 1: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages as we distribute menstrual sanitary pads monthly. Goal 2: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. Goal 3: Achieve good menstrual hygiene which is crucial for the health, well-being, and empowerment of women and girls

Long-Term Impact

Yearly Adequate Sanitation Initiative: Many girls lack access to private spaces to change sanitary products or wash themselves properly during menstruation. This project will do sensitization and seminars on swift method to change pads at every nearby convenient Schools and public facilities may not have adequate toilets or disposal options for menstrual waste, but alternative will be improvised during the seminar and workshop.
