The eighth generation of the Mayama Model, comprising 80 girls and boys, is currently completing its second year of training in the Transformation phase at the Mayama Center. During this stage, children actively participate in the Mi Desarrollo program, fully benefiting from the Center’s educational, psychosocial, and developmental resources.
In parallel, 51 families from this eighth generation are also supported through the Family Program, which focuses on strengthening caregivers’ skills and improving family care practices. This component reinforces children’s progress by promoting healthier, more supportive home environments.
At the same time, the Mayama educational team has initiated the selection process for new beneficiaries. The ninth generation, scheduled to begin in 2026, is expected to include approximately 100 additional girls and boys, further expanding the reach and long-term impact of the Mayama Model.
