Final Project Report
By Jo Ann Churchill | Project Leader
Since its creation, you raised a total of $7594.94!
Your donation to Positive Teens on the Run GlobalGiving Project helped these teens meet and exceed their goal. It encouraged them to do their individual best and be a strong team member. The process created leaders and role models as these young adults bravely ran to alleviate the stigma around HIV/Aids.
With your help, we are able to provide these amazing youth with ongoing assistance, support and encouragement, as they continue to 'Run Positive' towards their team and personal goals.
While this GlobalGiving Project will end, we will continue to provide updates on their individual and group progress through Hope for Limpopo's Blog and Facebook.
Thank you from the PTOR youth!

Positive Teens on the Run Continue to Reach Goals
By Jo Ann Churchill | Project Leader
The PTOR team has a new coach, Rofhiwa T. He lives near Vhutshilo Mountain School(VMS) and is an experienced and professional runner. The team love him and since coming on board the group held a two week training camp at VMS preparing for upcoming marathons. He is organizing the precties and choosing marathons for the team to participate in. There are currently 9 members; 2 females and 7 males and five of the teens have been involved with and running on the team since 2014. The teens have run many marathons inlcuding the Rhino run and the Foskor marathon.
The PTOR teens welcome and are happy with Rofhiwa's coaching. They express their gratitude and send a huge 'Thank You!' for your ongoing support. Most recently your efforts and support helped the team purchase attend these races with new, proper, good-quality running shoes.

A New Coach for PTOR
By Nancy Amanti | Project Leader
We are happy to welcome Rofhiwa Tshirumbula, a professional runner from Dopeni Village, as the new PTOR running coach. He has taken charge of organizing practices and choosing the best marathons for the runners to enter. Our teens respect Rofhiwa and with his guidance they continue to learn important racing strategies.
Nine committed runners (7 boys and 2 girls) are preparing for 2 marathons to be held in July. The Rhino Run is scheduled for July 21st in Polokwane and the Foskor Run will be held in Palaborwa on July 28th. Four boys were able to attend running camp at VMS last weekend while the other teens were busy with midyear school exams. Additional runners continue to train but are not yet sufficiently conditioned to participate. Given the appropriate time and financial support we hope to be able to offer these opportunities to all teens who wish to participate.
Thank you to everyone who offered financial support through the GlobalGiving Accelerator program. Your generosity has given these youths hope and ambition. Please consider encouraging others to support this worthy cause through your own social media outlets. Thanks again to Rofhiwa and to our Donors!
