Our planet is facing growing social and environmental challenges that threaten the health and well-being of communities - especially in the Global South. Many people still struggle to access life's essentials: clean water, fresh air, and nutritious food. Despite their efforts to create change, local heroes working to protect the environment often go unrecognized and unsupported. Without encouragement or visibility, their motivation fades, and valuable solutions risk being lost.
Our upcoming event, Generation Green addresses these gaps by honoring those who are actively working to protect and restore the environment. By celebrating Water Keepers, Air Guardians, Food Nurturers, and Youth Climate Leaders, the event showcases the innovative solutions and initiatives sustaining our communities and environment. Honoring these individuals and communities not only highlights their achievements but also inspires broader action, drives policy change, and attract support.
Generation Green and WAFA are building a lasting platform to sustain, scale and replicate environmental restoration. This recognition motivates recipients and nominees to keep advancing their work, attracts new supporters, and inspires others to take action. With support from organizations like EnviroX, Nuba Arts, and The World Impacteurs, the momentum from Generation Green extends far beyond the event, creating long-term impact on local and global environmental challenges.
