PCEF provides free English, Chinese, and computer literacy education to almost 1,000 children in rural Cambodia, giving them the skills and opportunities to break the cycle of poverty and access better jobs beyond the countryside. With our main sponsor ending support in June 2025, we urgently need $30,000 to cover essential operating costs. Your donation keeps our classrooms open, supports our teachers, and helps every student build a brighter future.
In rural Cambodia, many families cannot afford school, and local schools often lack resources and trained teachers. This creates significant barriers to access and continuity in learning, limiting children's opportunities to develop essential skills. Without education in English, Chinese, and computer literacy, students miss out on jobs in tourism, hospitality, and other sectors, perpetuating cycles of poverty and inequality while restricting their personal and economic growth.
PCEF addresses the education gap in rural Cambodia by offering free, high-quality classes in English, Chinese, and computer literacy. These skills give students the opportunity to pursue jobs in tourism-related sectors in nearby Siem Reap, creating real pathways for personal and economic growth. By equipping children with knowledge and skills, PCEF demonstrates how education can transform futures and foster fairer, more sustainable communities.
PCEF's students gain the skills to access higher-paying jobs beyond subsistence farming, opening doors to higher education and broader career opportunities. As these children succeed, they can lift their families out of poverty, improve living conditions, and inspire younger generations to pursue education. Over time, this creates stronger, more resilient communities with greater economic stability and social mobility, helping to break the cycle of poverty in rural Cambodia.
