What if all teachers understood and supported children with dyslexia and other invisible learning difficulties in their classrooms? The dedicated educators from  Kayole PCEA Emmanuel Academy started  their way to making this a reality.

On 15th May 2024, the teachers of Kayole PCEA  Emmanuel Academy learned how to identify students with invisible/Specific Learning Difficulties, including:

  • Dyslexia
  • ADHD
  • Dyscalculia
  • Dysgraphia
  • Auditory Processing Disorder
  • Language Processing Disorder
  • Non-Verbal Learning Disability

This was the awareness session, next training session will focus on the Structured Literacy Teaching Method.

Teacher Betty had this to say, As a teacher I added the knowledge I had and got inspired to read to know more..However, it can also be of great importance if the parents got the opportunity to hear the same to strike the balance between the teacher and the parents having such children.

We are grateful for all the support from our sponsors who made the training possible.
