Joule LabAI empowers low-income young people from across Brazil with the skills and support they need to build careers in the age of AI. Participants aged 18-28 will receive free AI training through the Joule Academy, workshops with technology professionals, one-on-one career mentoring, and practical training in storytelling, design thinking, and pitching. The journey culminates in an innovation Hackathon, where young people work in teams to develop AI-powered solutions to real social issues.
Millions of young people in Brazil face significant barriers to education and employment. Low-income youth, particularly those from underrepresented communities, often lack access to high-quality technology training, career guidance, professional networks, and opportunities to enter the job market. As AI transforms the job market, these young people risk being left behind.
LabAI will provide +100 low-income youth with free AI training, career workshops, individual mentoring, and a practical Hackathon. Participants will develop technical and professional skills and connect with potential job opportunities.
Participants will be better prepared to pursue education, enter the technology workforce, and generate income. We also hope they become role models and mentors, multiplying opportunities in their communities.
