This project aims to expand our methodology to promote entrepreneurship among women living in rural areas in Brazil. To do this, we will work in a network to teach our methodology to small NGO's that already operate in these territories. In addition, we will offer entrepreneurship training, consulting, and seed capital to participating women.
Women face the highest levels of hunger and poverty, have fewer income opportunities, and earn less. Yet, they head nearly 50% of Brazilian households and carry the burden of unpaid care work, limiting their ability to pursue income-generating activities. Moreover, most programs designed to support female entrepreneurship remain inaccessible to women in rural and low-income areas, reinforcing inequality and restricting their economic potential.
Implementation of a female entrepreneurship program that promotes the economic autonomy of rural women in Brazil through training, consulting, mentoring, and seed capital. The program also trains local NGOs to learn and replicate our methodology, ensuring sustainability and expanding impact. By empowering women and strengthening local institutions, it fosters gender equality, community resilience, and sustainable rural development.
1-3 years = women are able to generate income to improve their daily lives and those of their families. 3+ = nanoentrepreneurial women acquire financial autonomy, become small or medium-sized companies, hire other women and access many other possibilities for their business, themselves and their families.
