Strengthening Pathways in 2026

By Luana | Project Analyst

Dear Donor,

We began 2026 with renewed energy and a strong commitment to expanding the impact we are building together. At Instituto Dara, we are deeply grateful to continue counting on your support along this journey.

In these first months of the year, we have continued working to ensure that Black women — especially those who are heads of their households — have access to opportunities, rights, and social protection. Our integrated support model remains at the core of this work, providing close, personalized follow-up through a multidisciplinary team that supports each family according to their specific needs.

Throughout early 2026, we continued our training and income-generation activities, launching new groups of workshops in areas such as handicrafts, entrepreneurship, and cultural expression. These spaces remain essential not only for developing skills, but also for strengthening self-esteem, autonomy, and community bonds.

In addition, we are working to expand opportunities for participants by strengthening partnerships and developing new initiatives that more effectively connect training with income generation.

Recent Highlights

As a reflection of this work, we held another edition of the Women Entrepreneurs Fair at the SC Johnson headquarters — a moment that represents the culmination of the participants’ journey and the strengthening of their income-generation strategies.

In 2026, the fair held an even more special meaning: for many women, it was their first experience in a formal sales environment, where they were able to present their own products directly to the public. A total of eight entrepreneurs participated, showcasing items developed throughout the training activities.

The initiative generated BRL 2,229.00 in sales — an amount that represents not only immediate financial return, but also market validation, increased self-confidence, and strengthened identity as entrepreneurs.

Furthermore, the experience significantly contributed to the development of key skills such as customer service, pricing, organization, and product presentation, reinforcing the fair as an important milestone in the productive inclusion journey promoted by Instituto Dara.

In 2026, our focus is to deepen this impact by creating even more opportunities for these women to generate income, grow their businesses, and take on new spaces with autonomy and confidence.

We remain committed to promoting lasting change in the lives of the families we serve — and none of this would be possible without you.

Thank you for continuing to stand with us.

With gratitude,
Instituto Dara
