Empower a Special School in Rural South Africa

Thank you for standing with Sedibeng Special School in Lephalale, Limpopo. Your support continues to create life-changing opportunities for the 114 learners we serve, children living with intellectual and sensory processing challenges.

We’re excited to share the next phase of impact:

With your help, we aim to upgrade vocational training equipment and convert an existing mobile classroom into a dedicated sensory room.

Why This Matters

Currently, outdated equipment limits the school’s ability to prepare learners with practical, employable skills. At the same time, the absence of a sensory room leaves learners with sensory processing challenges without the calming space they need to regulate emotions and focus. This dual challenge holds back educational outcomes and long-term independence.

Our Solution

  • Modern vocational tools and resources will strengthen skill-building programs, empowering learners to gain hands-on experience that improves their employability and self-confidence.
  • A new sensory room will offer a soothing, multi-sensory environment for learners needing emotional regulation, helping them manage anxiety and improve concentration in the classroom.

Long-Term Impact

This project is designed to be sustainable and future-focused. Over the next 3–5 years, the upgrades will benefit approximately 432 learners, offering them a more inclusive and empowering learning experience.

By modernizing equipment and adding sensory support, we are creating a school environment where every child has the chance to thrive, academically, emotionally, and beyond the classroom.
