Summary

PGIO empowers 870 teenage mothers by paying school fees for those returning to class, while also offering vocational skills and counseling to all. These girls face stigma, poverty, and lost opportunities due to early pregnancy. We restore hope, dignity, and self-reliance-breaking cycles of exclusion and poverty. With your support, we transform vulnerable girls into educated, empowered changemakers.

Challenge

Teenage mothers in low-income communities face school dropout, stigma, and poverty. Often survivors of abuse, they lack education, job prospects, and emotional support. Seen as failures, their potential is ignored, and they are trapped in cycles of neglect. Without intervention, both they and their children remain vulnerable. The problem isn't just early motherhood-it's the lack of opportunity, protection, and empowerment

Solution

The project supports 870 teenage mothers by paying school fees for those returning to school, offering vocational training for income generation, and providing counseling to heal trauma and build confidence. This holistic approach restores dignity, breaks the cycle of poverty, and empowers young mothers with the education, skills, and support needed to rebuild their lives and create brighter futures.

Long-Term Impact

Educated, empowered teenage mothers are more likely to raise healthy, educated children and contribute to their communities. By restoring their confidence and economic independence, this project breaks generational cycles of poverty and exclusion. It creates long-term change by transforming vulnerable girls into resilient, self-reliant women who uplift their families and inspire others in their communities.
