This report covers a period of three months, that is, January to March 2021. We received the funds from GlobalGiving towards the end of January 2021, and so we could not do much as yet. However, we have managed to mobilize the first batch of 20 girls, secured some of the training materials, recruited a trainer and the training sessions will commence in April 2021.
Some of the challenges we encountered was the fact that we didn’t realize the amount of money as per our budget. What was raised was much below our budget and we hoped to get some tools from Tools With a Mission (TWAM), a UK-based charity that donates physical tools. They had already confirmed the donation but due to an increase in Covid-19 infections, the UK government postponed all grants until further notice. This affected our schedule because we had to plan afresh.
