We're excited to share highlights from the first year of our initiative supporting indigenous women in Mhow, India. With Action Village India’s support, women are starting small businesses, accessing government schemes, planting fruit trees, and learning new skills like terracotta pottery.
Here’s a glimpse of what’s been achieved:
5 Self-Help Groups formed under NRLM
New Shop-cum-Processing Centre opened
10 women trained in terracotta craftsmanship
1,226 people reached through climate awareness sessions
Soil and water testing introduced for sustainable agriculture
Several women successfully accessed PMAY and other schemes
Real stories of change are unfolding—from Sarla, who started a vegetable business, to Lata, who now makes handmade pottery from home.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
