This March, the 5th cycle of our Women MicroCredit Programme (WMP) came to a successful end. Since 2021, the WMP has been empowering rural women entrepreneurs by giving them access to affordable finance and training through interest-free small-scale loans and financial literacy & business management skills training. Implemented in cycles, our women beneficiaries pay back the interest-free loans they receive over a period of six (6) months.
Since program inception, The Women MicroCredit Programme has directly supported 768 women to date and impacted over 4,000 indirect beneficiaries. The program has helped our beneficiaries sustain, grow and even start new businesses with 42% of the women adopting digital financial services to run their businesses. Our beneficiaries have reported a reduction in debt, an increase in savings, increase in household income, improved school enrolment rates for their children and improved household decision making.
The Women MicroCredit Programme provides an opportunity for women build sustainable livelihoods and through your support we can help more women. Kindly keep supporting our work by donating and sharing why you choose to support us with your community of family and friends.
Thank you!
