Report on Visit to New Life Philadelfia Children’s Home, Nakuru
On Saturday 13th, our team had the privilege of visiting New Life Philadelfia Children’s Home in Langa Langa, Nakuru. The home currently shelters and supports 130 children, all of whom radiate joy, happiness, and love despite the challenges they face.
Being our first visit, we were warmly welcomed by both the staff and children. The day was filled with meaningful interactions, starting with drawing and coloring sessions that gave the children a chance to express their creativity. We also held a talk on drug abuse awareness, which sparked an engaging discussion with the children and staff.
Our presence was not only appreciated but also impactful. Through open conversations, we were able to share encouragement and support, helping the children and staff reflect on ways of coping with challenges such as stress.
Though our time at the home was short, the experience left a deep impact on both sides. For us, it was a reminder of the importance of community, compassion, and creating safe spaces for children. For the home, it was a chance to feel supported, heard, and cared for.
This visit was both wholesome and inspiring, and we look forward to building a lasting relationship with New Life Philadelfia Children’s Home to continue making a positive difference.
