Progress Update: Building Brighter Futures Through Art
Over the past three months, our journey with the Art for Children Foundation has been both inspiring and humbling. We’re excited to share that we’ve reached 72 children across three children’s homes in Naivasha. Through art and mentorship, we’ve seen firsthand the transformative power these activities have on young lives. Each visit is a step closer to breaking the cycle of violence and helping these children find their voices.
Summary of Activities: Creating Safe Spaces for Expression
In our first phase, we focused on establishing trust and creating a safe space for the children. We visited three children’s homes in Naivasha, where we held engaging sessions in martial arts (karate), poetry, drama, and dance. The children’s enthusiasm and eagerness to participate were incredible. These sessions didn’t just entertain, they provided the children with tools to express themselves and begin the healing process. Our next steps involve expanding these activities and reaching more children in need.
Looking Ahead with Gratitude
As we continue on this journey, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our supporters. Your contributions are making a tangible difference in these children’s lives. Together, we’re nurturing future leaders and advocates for change. We’re eager to keep you updated on our progress, and we welcome any opportunities or support you may wish to share as we move forward. Thank you for believing in the power of art to transform lives.
